A question about quests

Last night I was doing fishing quest number 5. After the quest ended I was given the rewards and I thought it said I was given some type of cooking quest. It then asked if I wanted to do the quest. I was not able to do it at that time. I got off the game and when I went back on later there wasn't any quest for me to do. Did I hear correctly that I was given some type of cooking quest and if I did should I have done it right when I got it?

You probably got a fishing contract. You can hear the quests you're on by saying "list quests." Fishing contracts offer a quest to catch a specific fish. You can start one by saying "use fishing contract."
