unknown and unaccessible pet on Alexa
Posted by CommanderTheBarbarian on March 25, 2023I found a pet in the forest. It is call a coldra. What is it, and how do I get it? Also, I tried saying look at coldra to see what it does, but it said that corn was a common ingredient. Whenever I look at a pet, I usually get a look at what type it is, what atribute it's based on, and what it's skills are. I can then say tell me about skill name to learn about it. This time I couldn't look at coldra. I think that when people get this pet, they won't ⠆ able to do anything with the pet, similar to how one of the pet's name was just a beeping sound. Can you maybe change the name to something else? Or if you know of another way of fixing this, can you make it so that Alexa recognizes it's name?

try this, next time when you are in the endless forest, and precisely are against the pet, like when you’re about to use your skill on it, try saying inspect opponent

In order for Alexa to understand a word, you have to register it. Alexa won't know what Coldra is until the game goes through certification again, unfortunately. Let's hope it doesn't take a month this time. I submitted it last week. Once it passes certification, you will be able to incubate the new pets!
Coldra seems like a very good pet. Also, I found a problem. When I was fighting with one of my pets who had an old running boots, it said that the speed status effect could not be found. Can you fix that?

I can't seem to reproduce the speed demon problem. Does it sometimes work and sometimes not? I just redid the entire status effect system and was surprised there weren't any bugs! I guess I just haven't encountered any yet. Dang.
I've been seeing other new pets in the forest too. Will the other pets be coming to eggs too? If so, how many can we expect?
Also, a solution to make pets easier to hatch might be to make sets of pets hatch on different days. I would love this, especially if I could target Centi awakenings just by hatching only on fridays.
You could add replies for things like: "What will hatch from eggs today?" or even "What days do jacko hatch on?" You could hve custom egg pools for holidays too. Could be a fun way to get people logging in more often!
I hope they get registered soon because I also can't learn about Feara which keeps killing me.

@crazycobra There are 14 new pets, one of them is the first pet evolution. That's pretty similar to banners in other gacha games. That's probably the best way to do it.
@neal I'm guessing you incubated it on the browser version? If that's the case, then no, it's not a bug.
I haven't enabled the two new items for evolving Devvy, so that will come after certification. I don't have a way right now to disable item drops based on game version. I need to add that.
It's happening with all of my charms and skills that apply good things. It always happens for me. Did you check all the status effects?
My mysterious vial works, but I don't think some of my other charms work. I'll have to check for sure, but you slimy toad skin on the Alexa version doesn't work. It says blessing of Mantella status effect not found.

I thought I did, but Slimy Toad Skin is indeed broken. Thanks for letting me know about it! I'll have a fix for it up shortly and then I'll go through all of them again to double-check that they're working.

I wish that there could be an item that boosts egg rarity and amber rarity. It could make it so that rarer pets were easier to find for a certain amount of time.

Update… I am shook, I came to Alexa to incubate for devis only to realize the update is here, not only that, but I got a mythic pet, exactly the one that I wanted and that only took me six eggs 💀

THE NEW UPDATE IS HERE!!! I'M SO HAPPY!!! I still can't equip the batchla wing though. How do I do it without Alexa thinking it's a moth wing?
