Frustrating pet problems
Posted by Black-Samurai on May 11, 20231. I've tried again and again and again .... and COULD NOT GET ANY MYTHIC PETS!!! I'm almost ready to dump this game, and forget about it. It doesn't matter the number of eggs I hatch. I've been playing this game for a few years now. The game just like basically gives me every pet except mythics. I have no idea why. I am trainer level 40, so I have some incubation rarity boosts. I've also tried many ways of maybe raising the chance, like waiting a while before hatching after I got them, no luck. Even with the new update celebration, until the end, I did not end up with ANY! You have no idea how frustrated I am. I need something here, something, or I guess it's done.
2. Sometimes, pets lose health when they get healed a certain amount above their max health. The worst part is, their max health is decreased, permanently. My jacko had 5000 health, but now has max 3000. I'm scared of equipping pets with mysterious viol, and scared of training any pets with healing overtime powers. I'm not sure why this feature was set, but it's another negative gameplay impact.
Please, do something. I really like this game, lets make it better!

Now is the time to hatch! Farm eggs in forest amd spam away. Its all about rolling the right dice. Dont give up, you will get mythics! Monti is a great pet to use while you wait!

Hi Black Samurai. I'm so sorry you're frustrated with the game.
1. I looked at your incubation log and you are indeed very unlucky. I'm adding a pity system today that will force an incubation for a mythic pet when you're having an unlucky streak. You will hear/see a message saying "You feel a strange sensation as you incubate the egg. You feel like you're finally going to get something good." when the pity system is activated. In your case, you're going to get a few of these in a row. The incubation log was added almost exactly a year ago, so anything before that won't count towards the pity system, unfortunately.
2. There is a bug right now that's setting your pet's current health after a battle to your pet's base max health value if it's over the base max health. Base max health is calculated without equipment or status effects. I noticed this when I was playing with Burpy and using the over eat skill. If you use over eat, heal to full health, and then win and start a new battle, the health will be set to the base max health and not factor in any vitality bonuses, like Bloated. I should be able to have a fix for this up today as well.
Also, pet's base attributes aren't directly modified by equipment and status effects. A battle snapshot is created that adds the attributes of your pet, equipment, and status effects to get the attributes used to calculate max health, damage, etc. So over healing in battle and status effects won't affect your pet's base attributes like you're thinking they do.
Max health is calculated from vitality and the pet's level. If we take a look at your male Jacko, it has 179 vitality and is level 22. We can calculate what the max health is using this equation:
vitality * 16 + level * 50 = max health
Using your Male Jacko's attributes and level
179 * 16 + 22 * 50 = 3964 max health
We can also see if your male Jacko is missing any vitality or max health with this equation:
pet_vitality_multiplier * (level - 1) + pet_vitality_multiplier * 5 = current vitality without elixir or workplace bonuses
Jacko has a vitality multiplier of 6, so a Jacko without any elixirs or workplace bonuses will have the following vitality:
6 * (22 - 1) + 6 * 5 = 156 vitality
That means your male Jacko has more max health than normal and you've given elixirs or sent him to work to receive a bonus 23 vitality and a total of 368 extra max health.

The pity system is live! I was also able to fix the bug where pet's would drop down to their base max health before any bonus vitality from status effects or equipment were factored in.

Yeah! Now I have all pets plus some ones I have been wanting to awaken! Thanks for this Malero! Now my friend is going crazy in the dungeon because he wants mythic pets! Ha! I hope he gets what he want. Malero, will this pitty system stick around?
