Trying to understand burpy
Posted by Jennifer on April 29, 2024I've been playing with Male Burpy and when I looked at him this morning his speed was 508 (153). I gave a speed elixir for 100 and brought the speed up to 608. I attached dragon eye to Burpy and right now it has a speed of 266 but that number did not get added to my Burpy's speed. Other equipment I've tried always added the stats, speed and others, to Burpy. Right now I have dragon eye back on my Burpy and when I started using him in the arena the speed was 608 (831) and the vitality was 1524 (4948). After doing some fights Burpys speed went down to 608 (153) and the vitality 1524 (27,072). There was one time when the speed went up to 1300 and the vitality had dropped. Does using the skill over eat bring the speed down? I like using dragon eye with Burpy because he does over 15 million damage. I've never took time and looked at the pet's stats but when I looked at my Burpy's speed and noticed that the second number (153) was lower then the main speed and I've never seen that with other pets. Burpy even has at least 2 ancient gifts for speed but that wasn't even added in. Burpy is level 250.

Yes, Over Eat applies the Bloated status and it increases vitality and reduces speed. If you have the brand for Burpy's evolution, Grotesque, it would make it so you don't have to invest elixirs or gifts into speed. Brand of Grotesque makes it so 50% of vitality is used to determine attack initiative rather than speed.
I do have brand of Grotesque on Burpy. I was also thinking about putting brand of Wart on Burpy because it uses 75% of strength instead of speed to determine attack initiative.
'Why not turn it in to grotesk then?
