Shadow attack and damage?
Posted by DevilishAnthony on Jan. 13, 2025Howdy there Gang. I'm still feeling my way around this game and absolutely lovin' it. I've figured out things like intelligence giving lightning attack and resistance, and strength is associated with earth, but what about shadow or light? How do I increase those? I know that I can do some of that with the ancient gifts, but I think I'm still missing something. I'm open to any tips that anyone wants to take the time to provide. I love the status effects. Burning is a really powerful one. With that one, I can do billions of damage in just one turn with those bosses in the shrine.

I'm not sure how well this will answer your question but I will try my best. As you know the ancient gifts each attribute like strength, intelligence, speed, etc are associated with an element like wind, earth, lightning, etc. However, when it comes to the pets if it does earth damage it doesn't necessarily mean it will be using strength. There are pets who do earth damage but use speed. There is also a pet that does lightning damage that uses speed. Pets that do shadow might use speed, strength, intelligence and sometimes pets use two of the attributes like strength and vitality to do earth damage. The guide on this website might also help. You can look at each pet and see what type of damage they do and what attribute they use.
Oh, I see what you mean now. So if it's an intelligence based pet, but does shadow damage, I would increase its intelligence. Thanks.
Also if you increase strength and speed it will do more damage because of defense being harder to break down. If you increase vitality, you also give you pets more room to use their intelligence for healing and dishing out more damage. Poison and burning are really good status effects.
