A solution to the skill problem.

What if there was a place called the barracks that you could use to change your pets skills? It would have your pet stand on a training pedestal, and you could apply glyphs. The higher level of pedestal, the more likely you are to receave an empty glyph back. It can also reorder skills and remove moves by putting them on empty glyphs. There could be a training mechanic where your pets could learn moves from a set of learnable moves, and the pedestal level would influence the chance of getting rarer skills. I will demonstrate some of the experience. It is long.

Go to barracks.

You enter the barracks. This is the perfect place to work on your pet's skills. What pet would you like to train?

Female Yeta.

Your Female Yeta stands on your wooden pedestal. You can say use glyph of x to apply it to Yeta.

Use glyph of squirt.

Are you sure you want Yeta to learn squirt?

Yes.

Yeta learned squirt! The glyph has been drained of its skill, 5 energy goes imto the pedestal, and you pocket the empty glyph. Your wooden pedestal glows and in a burst of light, it turns into a stone pedestal. Your chance of recieving an empty glyph has been increased by 10%. Your pedestal will upgrade again after 15 more energy.

Change skill order.

Ok! These are the skills. What should be in the first slot?

Ground smash.

(finishes aranging skills.)

Sacrifice glyph of sun spot.

Glyph of sun spot is a legendary glyph and will contribute 50 energy. Would you like to sacrifice it?

Yes.

Your pedestal glows and becomes copper. Your pedestal glows and becomes quartz. Your quartz pedestal will upgrade again after gaining 55 energy.

I like this idea a lot! I think it will be a great way to guide new players on managing and upgrading their skills too.
