A Solution for Gatcha Eggs

With more pets than ever, the game is getting more difficult to progress through. I propose a solution. What if there were certain places in adventure mode where you could hatch eggs for example, a fiery volcano where you could target fire types or a river where you could target water types. The rarity chances would remain the same, just the pets that you hatch would be different. I think a feature like this could make it a lot easier to target hatch pets. What do you think?

I like the idea of different terains and landscapes being able to hatch different elements of pets. Light pets could be hatched where light is a lot, and shadow pets are most likely to hatch in dark places or on a night with a new moon. Lightning and thunder pets could be hatched during a storm, and wind pets could hatch during windy days or better yet, in or near tornadoes, huricanes, and other big natural wind storms. Cobra, are you wondering what all elements of pets are there? If you are, there are fire, water, earth, wind, shadow, lightning, and one light pet. There are also combos.

Some good ideas! I have a list of basic pet ideas that will take the total to well over 100, so this will become even more of an issue as time goes on. The next update will increase the total number of pets you can incubate to 50, 100 with male/female variants. I've been thinking about this problem and my current idea is to increase the level cap per awakening. That's why I added the +2 and +3 awakening bonus for legendaries and mythics, but I think it may be a better idea to increase the max level per awakening than to do it that way. So for the next update, I think the following will most likely happen:

* 10 levels per awakening on non-evolved pets, keep it at 5 for evolved pets
* Incubating a pet that has 24 levels of awakening now grants cracked, chipped and full orbs of awakening
* Slightly increase the chance of getting legendary and mythic pets

While we're talking about the next update, here are my other plans:
* 12 new pets that can be incubated
* At least one new pet evolution(Chika -> Kazi)
* At least 10 new equipment
* At least 10 new glyphs
* Fishing, Farming, cooking, very basics of the pet friendship system
* Quests with a new place to obtain them. I haven't finalized the name, mission board, or something similar probably
* Easier ways to list and filter the larger number of pets and equipment

I'd say I'm about 75% done with all of that, maybe a little more. The fishing and farming systems are taking a bit longer than I'd hoped to complete. I really like the way they're turning out, though! The quest system is done and I think it will add an interesting new set of short-term goals for players with rewards. Cooking has been done for a very long time, I just didn't like my original idea of obtaining the ingredients. Most of this was supposed to be included in the last update, but I could tell people were getting bored, so I released the pets, equipment, and the evolution system early.

After that update, I'll start working on the following:
* A very basic version of @CrazyCobra's barracks idea that will guide players on the various ways they can improve their pets
* Forge, same thing as barracks but for equipment
* Improvements to the auction house. Browser version support and listing items.

Most of that is off-topic, but writing all of this helps me focus and plan everything.

The pet types are Fire, Ice, Water, Wind, Earth, Lightning, Shadow, and Light.

And for people concerned about being compensated for halving the awaken level requirement to reach max level, it will be retroactive and give you the full amount the next time you incubate that pet.

I forgot about ice. Also Malero, there's fira for fire pets, terra for earth pets, coldra for ice pets, trash panda for shadow pets, and Owlkin for wind pets. Can you please add more top pets for the other elements? And please make the water pets more stronger and generally add more light pets, lightning pets, wind pets, and water pets. Also ice pets. Actually, add more of every element but add less pets to shadow since there seems to be a lot of shadow pets. Just an idea. Will there be a sort of store in the town that we can go to buy mundane items like fishing poles, cooking stuff, and other regular things you add?

@malero I really appreciate this sort of roadmap for the game! I am thrilled to see all the upcoming features! This game means a lot to me because of the accessibility to the game, and the great community and being able to talk to you, the dev. Not a lot of players get that opportunity. Also, I've been thinking for a long while that it would be very cool to have, for lack of better words, an empty pet. You could give it your own name, and your own skills using glyffs. Also, why do almost all the glyffs say they're eppic, but Ive gotten the least sunspot glyphs and no healing light glyphs, even though I know they exist because pets have been using the skill. Also, what is the status effect handycapible that I got a few times supposed to do? Also, how exactly do critiqual dammage and critical chance work on equipment?

can crazyCobra I agree with you.
What's healing light? Is it good or bad? What is that handicapible? @ malero Can you add critical hits and critical chance in as just part of the -bat system so that all pets can enjoy extra dmg instead of just the pet with the dice?

@aaaaaa I think all of the elements should have mythics over the next few updates. I do seem to add more shadow pets than anything else. haha And yes, there will need to be a general store at some point. I'm not sure if I'll need to add it for next update or not.

@crazycobra I probably share too much. haha I love the Alexa games community. Everyone is so nice!

@jewel An empty pet sounds interesting! I'd have to implement a few things to make sure you don't go into battle before training a skill, but it could be fun. All of the glyphs are epic rarity. They're all pretty bad right now. I need to rework them. Critical strike chance works like this: If a pet has a critical strike chance of 20%, it means that for every attack or heal they make, there is a 20% chance that it will be a critical strike. Base critical strike damage is 50% more damage I believe and you can get more from various sources.

Handicapable is a status effect from one of the new equipment items, Pirate Hook. Handicapable reduces speed by 50% and increases critical damage by 100%.

Widow and Squint both have increased critical strike chance from their skills. I also plan to add more skills and equipment related to critical strike chance & damage too.

So a bunch of my pets have reached max so when I incubate the pet it is useless. Can you add a feature that will give you orbs of awakening or something?

I was wondering that too. What's the max level, and what happens if you inkubate the pet beyond it's max level?

Malero mentioned that he would make it to where you would collect cracked, chipped, and full orbs of awakening when you collect a maxed duplicate. Still not sure what max level is though.

Malero, when you add that feature, you could make maxed legendaries and mythics give more orbs.
