The attributes of equipment

I'm wondering how defense ignore really works. From what I read on google if I have defense ignore and I hit an enemy it ignores the defense they have. If I have this correct then when they hit me it would ignore my defense if they have defense ignore. So if we are ignoring each others defense what is the attribute defense for?
I'm also wondering how does the attribute's percent work? For example my yetta paw speed is 3366 and I have a speed percent of 1.25% because I have 5 embers of major speed.

Defense ignore is great for multi-hitters against targets with a lot of defense. Each hit has the target's defense negated from it. If a skill hits 125 times, the target basically has 125 times more defense than that if you were to hit it with a single hit skill. It's also a bit harder to get defense ignore than it is to get defense.
Attribute percentages increase your attributes by that amount. So if you have 100% strength, it will double your strength. Percentage is factored in last, so if your pet has 1,000 strength and your equipment has 1,000 strength and 100% increased strength, your pet will have 4,000 strength.
I think Jennifer also uses the yetta paw in battles against Krampus, I personally don’t use it in the Krampus battles because I have summon sprigg set as my default skill to use so I would presume yetta paw would try and double tap to summons which would be impossible, hence why I use a different equipment in the boss arena
If you want to get through the endless forest for a long time, use tsunami and winter storm for two pets, and healing light or sun spot for the other pet. You'll get through battles a lot faster and you'll keep your pets healed with enough vitality for a long enough time to increase your score on the weekly leaderboard. If you combine these skills with the Summon Sprig skill against Krampus, you'll be going for gold!
For fighting krampus I use yetta paw with one of my Kaze and mysterious vile with the other kaze and I use summon sprig on both of them as their skill. I use yetta paw because when you use it and your kaze double taps both kaze get two turns using cannon fodder. I use one of my lectry with dragon eye as my third pet.
How many pieces of equipment can you give to each pet?
You can only equip 1 per pet at a time. Like say, you put vial on Female Kaze, you can't also put yetta paw on her but you could do that on Male Kaze.
